Resets Account Level After Reaching Level 55
The Prestige System of Black Ops 6 is a return to form for the franchise, allowing players to re-experience the level grind by giving them the option to reset their accounts back to level 1 once they reach the max level of 55.
In exchange for resetting their account level, the Prestige System will allow players to unlock different cosmetic rewards exclusive to those who can manage to re-grind their way back to level 55.
Earn Unique Rewards with Each Prestige Level
There are multiple Prestige Levels in BO6. Each time you reset your account level after hitting 55, you will increase your Prestige Rank. Each Prestige Rank will reward you with uniquely themed cosmetic rewards.
According to the developers, the grind from Prestige Ranks 1 to 10 will feature cosmetics that call back to previous Black Ops titles (including past Zombies titles).
Unlocked Content is Reset During Prestige Mode
If you do opt to go through a Prestige grind, do note that all unlocked weapons, perks, and field upgrades will be reset. You will need to re-unlock them by leveling back up from 1 to 55.
However, unlike past COD titles, weapon progression will not be reset. Any unlocked attachments or created gun builds will remain available after you unlock the weapon again while in Prestige Mode.
What Carries Over in Prestige Mode?
Weapon Progression, Builds, Challenges, Cosmetics, and Operators
・Weapon Progression
・Weapon Builds (need to unlock the weapons)
・Challenge Progress and Unlocks
・Operators and Cosmetic Items (including Emotes)
・Zombies GobbleGums
All of the things listed above won't reset if you opt for a prestige reset. It means you can still access them even if your account goes back to level 1.
Although your Weapon Builds won't be directly affected, you will still need to unlock the weapons again by leveling up before you can use them.
Purchased Items
All items purchased with real-life money or CoD Points will carry over, like the Battle Pass and Store Bundles. You won't have to worry about losing them if you decide to prestige your account.
What is Prestige Master?
Prestige Master Unlocks More Levels After Prestige 10
Prestige Master is a new Prestige System mechanic that lets players rank up to an announced 1,000 additional levels after completing Prestige 10.
It is yet to be known exactly how these levels are progressed and rewards are to be expected, but a classified reward is guaranteed upon reaching the final level of Prestige Master.
How to Level Up Prestige
Earn XP and Activate Prestige at Lvl 55
Prestige is available to activate at any time you hit the player level 55, which is reached by earning XP. For every activation, your level and unlocks are reset, and your Prestige level increases by 1.
The maximum level of normal Prestige is 10. To reach this level, you will need to reset at max level 10 times, requiring an expected total of 550 levels where every 55th level is a reset via Prestige activation.
All Prestige System Rewards
Prestige Relocks Level 1-55 Unlocks in Exchange for Rewards
In the recent Call of Duty Modern Warfare series, Prestige was gained past Level 55 without any content relocks. Level caps and Prestige were also limited with seasons, the latest MW3 Season 5 letting player levels extend to Level 1,050 with Prestige 21.
In Black Ops 6 (BO6), Prestige Mode now returns to the Classic Prestige system of the older Call of Duty titles. At Level 55, you wil have the option to progress into a Prestige level in exchange for relocking unlocked content from Levels 1-55 and resetting your player level. You will have to reach Level 55 again to progress into the next Prestige level.
All Prestige levels will be available at launch, meaning you will not have to worry about seasonal level caps.
Prestige Mode Rewards Emblems, Calling Cards, and More
Players will be able obtain cosmetic Emblems and Calling Cards, with the addition of possible Skins, Blueprints, Charms, and permanent unlocks as they progress into Prestige Mode.
